Smitten With My Kitchen

Tanya lives out in Indiana and loves to experiment in her kitchen. And the best part is that she loves to share those experiences with others on her blog. She is always willing to take on new adventures, whether they involve just tinkering with a few favorite recipes to taking on a challenging new project. And she loves to share tips that come her way.

There are many different ideas that Tanya has to offer, from main dishes, desserts, sides, and even how to organize your kitchen. She likes to put new twists on old ideas, an example of which is how to frost a cupcake so you can still wrap it without a mess. Her ideas include shopping tips and food storage options as well. And Tanya's love for cooking, baking, and just being in the kitchen comes through in each of her posts.

Smitten With My Kitchen is for anyone who feels the same way about spending time in their kitchen. There are enough ideas to keep anyone busy trying and experimenting on their own or trying some of Tanya's ideas as well.

The Bowdacious Babe

Marie has a crafty side that she enjoys using to make baby bows and headbands to sell on her blog, The Bowdacious Babe. She started her blog earlier this year and has been rather successful with her products.

The types of bows she offers are the standard favorites for babies and youngsters and come in a few different sizes. Styles include standard bows, korkers, ribbon flower loops, buttons, and standard flowers. There are also a few different headbands available in various colors as well as crochet hats. Marie also has a couple of fun ways to store bows - canvas boards with ribbons crossing, or wood boards that can be personalized with hanging ribbons. And if it's hard to find something specific, Marie does custom orders and "baby bundles" too.

For anyone with a little girl ready to be dressed up, this is a great blog to visit. There are some fun options to choose from. And don't forget that orders can be customized.

Utah Deal Diva

As many people experience financial hardships at different points in life, Jessica put her experiences to great use by sharing lessons learned when her husband lost his job. She is a stay at home mom of three and has developed a great talent of finding deal after deal which she loves to pass along to anyone interested. There are a few other bloggers she has teamed up with to swap deals and ideas. Jessica even does classes to teach others the secrets of her shopping magic.

There is one challenge with this blog - there are so many posts about so many money saving opportunities that it is either overwhelming or addicting. When Jessica finds out about a great deal, she shares it as soon as she can. She links up to any websites related to any of them which includes numerous coupon sites, free samples, and additional sites to make becoming a deal shopper easier. For some of the more complicated ones, there are step by step instructions which are very helpful. She also shares a lot of her experiences with different stores and brands to either save others from the negative ones or introduce them to the good ones. And while some of the posts really are specific to Utah, there are many that are not so others who live in different parts of the country can still enjoy what she has to offer. There are also give aways now and then to reward people for being followers.

Again, Utah Deal Diva blog is highly addicting. It is amazing to see how many opportunities there are to save money. For those looking to learn more about coupons, rebates, where to shop, and how to have self control, go take a look at Jessica's blog.

A Year of Slow Cooking

Stephanie, the author of A Year of Slow Cooking, admits to having quite the obsession with her slow cooker. And she has used that obsession to provide a wonderful resource to all others looking for some creative and easy meals to make in their crock pots. She is a freelance writer, and has just recently published a cookbook of some of her recipes appearing this morning on Good Morning America to promote it.

Her goal for her blog was to provide a different slow cooker recipe for each day of the year. And she succeeded! While most posts on here list a few specifics included, it is easy to say Stephanie has it all covered. For each recipe, all of the ingredients are clearly listed, the instructions are easy to follow, and she includes a lot of pictures so it is simple to visualize the beginning, the process, and the final results. Some are a little more complicated in both taste and effort, but there is likely many options for anyone with a crock pot.

For all those looking for new ideas for dinner, stop in and browse her recipes. And for anyone looking for a gift idea or would like another valuable resource for their own kitchen, take a look at her cook book. And feel free to share any reviews of her recipes.

Delightful Dots

Amy is one of those women who has more energy, motivation and desire than she does time to do everything she would like. And with almost 200 different posts, it is very likely that anyone can find several templates to enjoy at their leisure.

A Little Tipsy

Meet Michelle - busy stay at home mom of a cute little boy and up to her neck in projects. With all she has going on, it comes as no surprise she falls victim to her own clumsiness. She has taken her human side, all of her projects, and her desire to share her great ideas (her own and the ones she stumbles across), and has compiled it all in her blog, A Little Tipsy.

Michelle provides tips, advice, and projects on her blog that cover quite a lot of topics. She has ideas for children, church (LDS/Mormon), organization, cleaning, recipes, holidays, and more. There are a few parts of her personal life she shares here and there which helps her readers relate to still just being a normal person rather than the "super mom" she is likely labeled. With so much information, it's very easy to find something that suits just about anyone. Michelle also welcomes any tips from those who have some to share so feel free to contact her.

For all moms trying to find tips about how to stay on top of things at home, how to entertain kids, and any other number of topics, this is a great blog to stop in and take a good look around. Just don't spend too much time browsing so you can start working on some of those projects.

The Moderate Voice

The Moderate Voice was started in 2003 by journalist Joe Gandelman and many more contributors have been added to their authors list over the years. Their team covers five different countries and a large variety of backgrounds, professions, educations, ages, and especially political views. Having such a variety of contributors, it provides some interesting reading.

There is no shortage of posts to read on this blog. They strive to provide moderate and more centrist perspectives rather than sway too far to the right or the left of the political spectrum. However, there is still quite the assortment of opinions, topics, and discussions. They all do a great job of siting any outside sources and even try to run news feeds from the main networks for a one-stop location to keep up on what is happening. There are also many links provided for other political blogs.

For those looking for a main source of all things politics, The Moderate Voice fulfills that need very well. Having so much information and multiple resources all located in this blog make it a great tool for any political junkie. It's definitely worth taking a look at.

Beany's Bows

Sabrina is a stay at home mom of soon to be three kids. She makes and sells hair bows and clips on the side mostly because she enjoys it, but she doesn't complain about making a few extra dollars here and there as well. She is always trying to find new and fun designs for her bows to help set her apart from the rest.

The bows and clips range from some very common and traditional styles to things that not very many others make and sell. Sabrina has everything covered from holiday clips to all sorts of bugs, animals, and even ballet dancers. She has additional designs she has yet to post on her blog so anyone is welcome to contact her to see what else she offers. And since she enjoys it so much, she offers the opportunity for others to learn how to make some of the bows by teaching classes.

If you're looking for some hair accessories for your little girl, Sabrina has something unique to offer on Beany's Bows. Take a look at some of her ideas and don't forget to check in with her to see what else she has created. And for those living in Utah, it couldn't hurt to find out more about her classes so you can learn to make them yourself.

The Woman of a Certain Age Digital Art

For everyone who wishes they had a defining image or piece of digital art to add to their blog or other website, the author of this blog, Damozel, offers a solution. She has dedicated her blog to her mother for teaching her about color and encouraging her artistic side which she now shares with the rest of us. Damozel is also a contributor on Buck Naked Politics.

Her images are mostly abstract and geometric styles with a lot of variety in colors and overall designs. They also come in multiple sizes which makes it easy to use them in many different ways. And the enormous selection makes it easy to find a few options to suit most anyone's tastes. A single image can be found under several labels and she names them according to what she feels they represent or inspire. The best part is Damozel offers the use of her images for free as long as they are not being used in any commercial way. There is a use policy posted regarding this to help clarify any situations where she would require someone to obtain permission to use her images commercially.

So if you feel your blog or website could use something unique and enjoy abstract digital art styles, Damozel's blog is very much worth stopping in and viewing what she has to offer. It is very easy to get caught up scrolling through her work which makes selecting something for yourself that much more difficult.

Pointe Digital

Brothers Doug and Davey own an award-winning videography and photography business, Pointe Digital, in Salt Lake City, Utah which keeps them very busy. Their company's popularity does take them out of town on occasion as well, but they still manage to find time to enjoy themselves.

Their work is top notch. Pointe Digital is very professional and unique. Obama's Blackberry

Just when you thought that inanimate objects couldn't have their own blogs, up comes a blog from Obama's prized Blackberry. Ok, so the Blackberry can't provide it's own insights on the worldwide web. Neil, author of the blogs The Truth Will Prevail and The Detainee Four, heads up this project. Neil is a real estate guru out in North Carolina who does some free lance political writing on the side as well.

The Blackberry blog is quite entertaining if you can appreciate a little poking fun at our current POTUS. Some of the posts are brought to you from the device's perspective and others are just fun and catchy things worth sharing. Since Neil sways to the conservative side of the political spectrum, the posts on the Blackberry blog have that same conservative flavor. And there's quite the variety of topics explored - from healthcare reform to cartoons to some videos of our nation's commander in chief.

If you're in the mood for a good laugh, take a look at this blog. Neil does a good job of spinning a little humor out of his various presidential findings from a conservative political perspective. So take a look and have a good chuckle or two.

Katie Wells Photography

Katie lives up in Rigby, Idaho and has two great loves that she has put together in a very special way - children, especially her own, and photography. She started her own photography studio and specializes in doing candid and unique photo shoots of babies and small children. The environment she provides is very calm and relaxed and she spends time getting to know the children to help her decide the best way to do the session. Her work extends beyond children, including family and maternity options as well.

Her blog is a wonderful display of her work. Katie's clients allow her to share their keepsakes so others can see how quality her work is. Some of the sessions are in studio and others are on location, all of which are very unique. It's so easy to get caught up just scrolling through post after post because each one is something new. Her ability to capture the children in the moment provides some fun and adorable moments frozen in time.

While Rigby might sound like a foreign place to many people outside of Idaho, her work can still be appreciated by all who enjoy good photography. For anyone in the area looking for a quality photographer, Katie provides some great work. Take a look and enjoy her talents.

The Detainee Four

To learn more about the author of this blog, Neil, check out his main blog The Truth Will Prevail. As for this blog, let's explain who the Detainee Four are instead. There's Moe, Larry, Curly, and Abdulla. They're former residents of Guantanamo Bay. Now they're taking life one day at a time in Bermuda and this blog highlights some of their happenings in Bermuda.

The entries are quick and fun reads. They play off of a lot of the current happenings in the political world by throwing in a little jab here and a nice dose of sarcasm there. It does lean to the conservative side in the humor throughout the blog but can still be appreciated by anyone, even if they're not familiar with what's been happening regarding politics in general or with Guantanamo Bay itself.

If you're looking for some quick laughs, take a look at this blog. The only reason you might not be able to appreciate the Detainee Four is if you happen to be a terrorist.
